A couple of days ago Chad Boyda of Launch 10 sent an internal email there with a list of tech events happening in Los Angeles this month. Erik Osterman kindly "leaked" it to us and we were thinking "woah, this is great!".

Los Angeles have had lots of web-work and other internet industries for a long time, but only recently has the community really been taking off and it's been awesome fun. Geek dinners! Tech meetups! Lunch 2.0! Etc etc.

We're making this weblog to help promote and grow the Southern California tech community -- for now w will focus on Los Angeles. Do you have a relevant event? Email us suggestions at la-editors at webchic.net!

If anyone in Orange County, Santa Barbara or San Diego (for example) wants to help edit events for those areas, also let us know so we can set you up!
